International Ministry Begins
The Wesley Foundation has joined forces with McFarlin UMC, The Oklahoma
Annual Conference and the Chinese International Church in Edmond to start
an international ministry in Norman.
Rev. Fuxia Wang was appointed to the South OKC District to begin a Chinese
Church at the 2006 Annual Conference. She has sense become an integral
part of the ministry at the Wesley Foundation at OU. Space was found for
Rev. Wang to have her own office with outside access that will give her
a great deal of independence.
The new international ministry is offering english classes and Bible
Studies for international students at the Wesley Foundation. Our ultimate
goal is to start an international church along with an extensive campus
ministry to international students on campus.
The first event was welcoming the international students to the University.
Working with the BSU, The Nazarene Student Center and Chi Alpha, over
500 students were fed the week before school started. Rev. Wang has been
spending her time making contacts and publizing the ministry.
She is currently serving a two point charge as she is also serving as
an assistant to the Chinese Church in Edmond.
