Prayer Tip: Want to increase prayer in your day? Pair it with an action.
Every time you use your keys say a prayer, whenever you stop at a red
light say a prayer, before you start class say a prayer. Pick any action
that you do a lot, and you’ll be praying all the time before you
know it.
DEVO:
When we meet someone the first thing we look to in order to know them
is their face. With those we know well we can often read their moods
or tell what they are thinking just by the look on their faces.
Matthew 17:1-2
1After six days Jesus took with him Peter, James and John the brother of James,
and led them up a high mountain by themselves. 2There he was transfigured
before them. His face shone like the sun, and his clothes became as white
as the light.
2 Corinthians 3:18
And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being
transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes
from the Lord, who is the Spirit.
Here, during the transfiguration Jesus is transformed in glory and in
Corinthians we are encouraged to be transformed and let our faces reflect
the Lord’s glory. Think about what the face of Jesus would look
like and what expressions and emotions it would convey, and then think
of your own face. Probably at this time of the semester it just looks
tired and spends most of the time pointed at the ground when you walk
to class. Take a moment, lift up your face, and reflect the glory of
the risen Lord.
Fun in Christ,
Asia
