Ministry University
General Goals
1. To train leadership for the ministry of the Wesley Foundation.
2. To train leadership for the local church.
3. To develop a program that can be used in other campus ministries for the purpose of developing leadership.
4. To establish a quality training program that is recognized by the church at large as the best training institute for college students in the country.
5. To establish courses that have the highest quality content to enable students to fulfill the goal of the leadership program at large.
Ø Each person in leadership must be enrolled in a class.
Ø Each course will be 7-8 weeks in length.
Ø Every person in leadership must take “Wesley Basics” the first opportunity it is taught.
Ø A “diploma will be conferred after the completion of 6 courses.
Ø A diploma will be conferred with honors for those people that complete all 6 courses with perfect attendance.
Ø Classes will primarily be taught on Thursday evenings at 8:00 or 8:30 pm.
Ø Classes will be one hour in length.
Ø Each course will have reading materials and students are expected to be prepared before class.
Ø A maximum of 2 absences will be allowed. Following the second absence the student will be dropped from the class.
a. Attendance must be taken in each class
b. Each teacher will be asked to develop a roster and attendance sheet
c. Mandatory exams, concerts, etc. are not excused. We will move MU classes to an appropriate time to make them available if necessary.
d. We expect each student enrolled to communicate with us at the first of the semester when mandatory tests, concerts etc. are to be held.
e. If study groups or other academic events occur requiring attendance, these should be used as one of the two absences.
Note: All new rock members must take Wesley Basics.
